Any of the above difficulties can happen to any of us at any point in the parenting journey. If you are struggling, it is not your fault! Motherhood is hard. Precious. Beautiful. But also overwhelming and utterly soul-destroying at times. And that's ok! I am here to help you through these feelings.

Having experienced my own difficulties when becoming a mother, I have developed a strong passion for normalising the struggles and helping those who find themselves in a similar position that I found myself in. I love CBT and have seen both personally and professionally how it can transform lives for the better.

Perinatal Mental Health is an area so close to my heart and being a parent of three young children, I know how hard parenthood can be, the sense of feeling overwhelmed, the worry about whether you are enough, and the days where you just want to run away from it all!

The types of things Mum's come to me for support with are;

  • feeling low in their pregnancies/after baby's birth
  • struggling to manage the transition of becoming a mother
  • difficulty managing distressing intrusive thoughts
  • experiencing upsetting reminders of a difficult birth experience
  • fear/anxiety about giving birth
  • being anxious about their own health or the health of their baby
  • anxiety about going out with baby and being judged
  • low-self esteem, which has been worsened by pregnancy/childbirth
  • worrying too much about lots of different things, including the pregnancy/baby
  • perfectionism
  • panic attacks
  • fear of leaving the house
  • anxiety about blood tests/injections/medical procedures
  • fear of morning sickness

Over the years, I have helped lots of parents to navigate through the above common difficulties. I can help you if you are currently trying for a baby or considering getting pregnant, whether this is your very first baby, your second or third baby, or your baby might not be a baby any more but you are still finding things tough!
